Come, let us worship Christ our God.

We are the Society of St John Climacus, a group of Eastern Catholics trying to live the Christian faith according to the Eastern Christian spirituality and traditions. Our goal is to build a community centered on the worship of the one true God.

And He became flesh and dwelt among us.

St. Paul exhorted us to pray without ceasing. Our lives are to be directed wholly to God in body, soul, mind, and spirit. We thus aim to live our lives conformed to Christ through prayer and ascetic practices.

The Apostles preached to the nations and left forms and patterns of worship and prayer that were based in temple and synagogue worship. These forms of worship allow Christians of all times and places into the heavenly worship of God. As St Athanasius said, “God became man so that man might become God.” This is the summation of our worship as Christ offers himself to us in the incarnation so that we may be partakers of the divine nature and be mystically united to him forever. (2 Peter 1:4)

Our current aim is to build a temple where we can grow a community and aid in the salvation of souls. We want our doors to be open at all times so that anyone can come and experience the presence of God and have a spiritual refuge. The space is to be fully rooted in the Eastern Christian architectural tradition as a means of fully expressing the unique identity and modes of worship native to us.
